4 Camera Remote Counsel

This class teaches you how to operate the equipment at Portage City Hall for the City Council, Planning, and Zoning Meetings. This class is free and arranged by appointment. You can earn a minimum of $10.00 per meeting for running the remote camera system. This is a 1-day course (1-hour)

Cost: Free.
1 participant minimum, 3 maximum.

3 Camera Remote Truck

Remote/edit is the prerequisite for this class. We recommend you also know the mini-switcher. This class takes you through a 6-stage progression from camera operation to audio director to technical engineer and finally to independent director/producer. 8 day training.

Cost: $10.00/stage.
Minimum 3, maximum 8.

Mini-Switcher:

The prerequisite for this class Remote/Edit. In this class you will learn how to set up and take down the 2 camera mini-switcher. You will also learn how to operate the equipment in this one-day course.

Cost:$10.00
1 participant minimum, 3 maximum.

Remote/Edit:

This class will teach you the basics needed to produce your own video production as it applies to a single camera shoot. We will cover the pre-production, production, and post-production phases. A booklet will be provided for this six week course (1 day/week, 2 hour class)

Cost: $60.00.
4 minimum participants, 8 maximum.

Digital Video/Non-linear Editing:

This class will introduce you to Digital Video production via Pinnacles DVStudio software on a PC platform. Shoot video on a digital format and import your scenes onto the Computer via firewire interface. This class will be a 4 week course (1 day/week)

Cost: $40.00.
1 minimum participants, 2 maximum. Prerequisite for this class is basic PC skills and Remote/Edit.
